Jason Moody
Assistant Director of Communications
Jason has lived and worked in Knoxville for more than 12 years and is excited to bring his experience to the University of Tennessee System. Jason provides communications management and support primarily to the Division of Academic Affairs, Research and Student Success (AARSS).
Prior to joining the UT System, Jason spent four years working at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In his last position at UT Knoxville, he served as the communications manager for the Center for Global Engagement. In this role he contributed to a wide variety of communications and marketing projects around UT Knoxville’s international education initiatives. Previous to this he served as a coordinator in the Division of Enrollment Management where he managed middle and high school STEM programs. Jason began his career at the Tennessee Smokies minor league baseball team (AA Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs), where he worked in marketing, communications, special events and group sales.
Jason is from Lawrenceville, Georgia, and attended the University of Georgia where he received his B.B.A. in Marketing. Outside of work Jason enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, playing and watching soccer, as well as going on walks with his wife, Morgan, and two dogs, Shelby and Jenna.
